Here at Cygan Psychological, we focus on the importance of early screening and assessment for infants, toddlers, children, and adolescents who are presenting with a variety of developmental, cognitive, emotional, and behavioral challenges. Dr. Heather Cygan is a licensed clinical psychologist who provides comprehensive consultation, assessment, and treatment recommendations to children and their families. She also provides behavioral medication consultation, integration, and continuity of care with other clinical professionals (e.g., pediatricians, speech pathologists, and occupational therapists).

Dr. Cygan’s specific training and experience have facilitated specific proficiency in working with young children who have developmental delays, speech/language challenges, adaptive behavior concerns, autism, attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), sensory integration challenges, learning disorders, anxiety, depression, and disruptive behavioral disorders.

Dr. Cygan provides individualized, evidence-based treatment for adults with anxiety/panic disorders, depression, communication challenges, anger management, interpersonal challenges, coping skills, and parenting stress.

I view the therapeutic relationship as a true partnership. While I'm the expert in psychology, you are the expert in you! I want to work with you at a pace you are comfortable with, while also helping you confront those difficult topics and move toward your therapy goals.

I understand that therapy is difficult and it requires mutual trust, which takes time to develop. I strive for us to work together to create an individualized plan to meet your therapeutic goals.
